Seems to me, no matter what else you consider it's downright remarkable that John Deere has stayed original in it's company structure. So many well established American companies manufacturing farm machinery have had to capitulate in the financial wars of our economy. There has got to be something wrong somewhere in our evolutionary developement that causes businesses such as farming and the making of farm machinery to be such a tough challange. So anyhow, if you buy a John Deere, you're getting the product of a company that has survived somehow for 167 years in a business that few others have. Make your comparisons of tractors all you like and then compare dealer convenience and resale values. If you "do your homework" and then make your choice, you'll have done the best you can. Get that tractor and enjoy it!
