Why does it always HAVE to be John Deere vs Case IH for new tractors and John Deere vs IH for older ones. WHY CAN"T SOMEONE STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND DEBATE AC vs OLIVER or MINNIE MO vs CASE?????? Surely there MUST be someone outhere who runs something else besides JOHN DEERE and IHC!!! I think all of the "Red" bashers and "green" bashers best lines have been used many times, so much in fact there is little original left to say. So tell me about the D17I vs 770, or the G1000 vs 1030ck. I already know about the 730 vs 560 or 4020 vs 806 and quite frankly, I refer you to the movie "Gone With The Wind" and refering to Clark Gable's famous line: "Frankly, I don't-----"

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
