Link above shows time lapse germination. Point being, the sh2 (super sweets) seem to have fragile seeds, which don't do well in cool temps......which means any notion of planting it "early" to get ahead of field corn may flop.
So.....since I will be making about 4 to 6 staggered plantings at 2 week intervals to stagger/extend harvest times.......my plan is to plant the se types early and hold off on the sh2 (super sweets) until the last plantings, far after there will be any issues with cross pollination with field corn. By then soil temps will have warmed to the point I'll get my best germination......I hope.
