It happens because the character is NOT an apostrophe but rather a 'right single quote'. This is 3-byte UTF-8 character, but YT doesn't support UTF-8, so your browser thinks it's three distinct characters.
The problem seems to happen when the poster uses an iPhone. I have no idea why Apple thinks an apostrophe isn't good enough. I suppose there's some way to turn off this obnoxious iPhone behavior, but so far none of our iPhone users have figured it out.
