Ken, check the little filter screen on the tank tap.
Get a 1/4" bsp bung handy, turn the tap off, remove the fuel line, remove the tap, whack in the bung real quick and you can work on the tap as you like.If the plastic screen looks too bad you can operate without it your filters do the main work. Water can actually block those little screens. See how you go.
