The hoses are identical side to side. The water pumps are mirror images of each other. The bottom hoses on mine are just straight from the rad to the water pump. The upper hoses come straight up out of the head - toward the front of the head on the newer flatheads and out of the center of the heads on the older ones. They then use a curved hose or a - straight hose - curved tube - straight hose - to connect to the upper rad ports. Thermostats are housed in the ports where coolant leaves the head one on each side. More complicated on the outside of the engine but less complicated on the inside.
