I think that Dean is right about the rest of the land, but for the lawn I would recommend a small tractor with a finish mower. I used to do our 2 acre lawn with a 21" push mower, sweating, toiling, baking in the sun for 4 hours. We bought a 1947 Farmall Cub, which does it in one, umbrella overhead and ice tea in the cup holder, what a difference ! We also have a snowplow for it. Popular tractor, many nice implements available. If your lawn is irregular then a push mower might be best but if it is largely open then a wide-cutting rider will save you tons of time. I figure that in only one year the Cub has already paid for itself. Just passing on my experience, get a lot of advice and then make up your own mind. There are a lot of extremely knowledgeable people here on this site, so you came to the right place.
