I have a friend with one. It is small hobby farm truck so it gets worked some. He tows pretty heavy loads with it occasionally too. Mostly flat land state he lives in so no mountains. While the loads he tows are sometimes rather heavy they are all low profile loads and not parachute boxey with wind resistance.
He travels for work sometimes so the truck also sometimes sees empty commuter interstate road miles to job sites so he has racked up some miles on it as well.
I believe he has the first year of the baby Duramax still with the 6 speed auto tranny. He mentioned that if he heard the 8 speed auto tranny that GM eventually switched to was immensely better he would trade. He has been so happy with the truck that he still has the 6 speed so no trade has happened yet anyway but something to be aware of if you looking used.
