On top of each press wheel there is a handle. The handle rotates a cam allowing for depth adjust. Leave it set where it is and go out and plant a few hundred feet. Then scratch and see how deep seed is. Adjust from there if you want it deeper or shallower. No need to have tubes on small seed as you want to drop it on top ground anyway. Drag it in after seeding and that is just right cover. If you planted your clover as deep as oats I'm surprised it came up. Mine has tubes that take small seed down but still drop it about 15" above ground. I plant wheat, oats, barley, rye, peas and soybeans with my 510 and never change the depth.
