Doing good now that we've gotten ridiculous amounts of rain since August. All kinds of green stuff growing so there's less pressure on the hay than I was expecting. I was plenty nervous at the beginning of August due to the drought conditions in central Texas.
Have not been able to get in some fields for months. The heavy black clay is totally saturated. Sure have a lot of clover and rye growing!
I have enough hay to make it through March which usually by then they quit eating and graze exclusively. Buying bales now or any time in the last eight months means bleeding a lot of red ink. $100 bucks and up for round hay. $40 to $50 for crop residue garbage.
