You can be a pilot, with a modest amount of effort and money. Find a small airport nearby and locate someone who has the "Sport Pilot" curriculum. A SP can fly a two seat plane, with total weight under 1320Lbs. This limitations may be increased soon, as there is a program underway to increase the seats and the weight.
The process is not too hard, and I think anyone with average or above driving skills can learn to fly a Light Sport Aircraft. If your dream of being a commercial pilot for a large airline, plan to get/have your college degree, and try to become a military pilot first. Barring military, you will need to fly corporate or other commercial flight time for quite a while before being considered.
