Don't know if first message sent as having trouble with my computer, but just finished a MF 35 rebuild where guy sold me a dog that had been jury rigged to run with permatex and stopleak. There is a block repair place in MO. that remanufactures blocks and line bores while the block is still hot. The one I got in exchange had been welded through the mains, but works like new now. Block exchange was $650, head repairs 250, rebuild kit 500, ground crank 200, mechanic three days- total $ 2000- 2200. You jsut as well do the above if you are gonna replace block. Sometimes blocks can be bolted together with stainless steel bolts, but not if cracked through the mains and most are. Good luck and get back with me if you need the name of the place in St. Louis.
