I have a bunch of old tractors with low hyd pressure, and have always looked at getting a pto pump to run, for example, my planter with a littler tractor. But, the near $1000 keeps me away.... The other day I was walking past my 'junker' Gleaner F combine, & thought of the vbelt driven hyd pump system on it which seems to have 2000 lbs pressure... One of the few parts of that combine I did not wear down to a nubbin. Any reason this wouldn't be easy to turn into a pto pump? Got 3 spool contol with it and all, resovor, all in one unit... Just an idea until next spring, so expect more questions on same topic next year. I'm a hydraulic dummy..... --->Paul
