You're welcome, some of those explanations as to what the problem is really don't help a guy too much unless you know what they are talking about. Since getting a mid-efficiency furnace 20 years ago I am somewhat antsy about our furnace going on the blink. The original one was a typical 1970 type and never really had a problem except for the regular new motor, new belt, or squirrel cage bearing/bushing replacement. I don't even know how to access the motor/fan assembly on this new one, nor would I try, there's a lot of electrical stuff in the way. Like new cars and trucks I guess, better but more difficult to work on for the average guy. Up here in Canada, I don't think it is legal to install a mid-efficiency furnace anymore, for sure you cannot buy one (legally) nor is a gas fitter allowed to install one (legally). I do see used ones for sale in Kijiji (our equivalent of Craig's List).
