A set of heavy V blocks are invaluable when straightening shafts. Turn on side a use them to straighten flat stock. Mine are made out of 4" square steel. OTC bearing splitter and a press break brake are much used accessories. I have a 50 ton with air/hydraulic pump. It sets about 4' away from the wall, but can be moved. Don't use every day but when we do it pays for itself.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
