Sara, In the mid to late seventies International Harvester made a 574 and 674. These tractors were almost identical except that the 574 had 52 pto HP and the 674 had 61 pto HP. At the time of their introduction they were one of the more advanced small tractors. All of the controls are mounted beside the driver. The hydraulic and pto control are on the right. The pto is fully independent and does not require clutching to engage or disengage it. The transmission has a high, low and reverse range controlled by the outside lever on the left and four gears which are synchronized and may be shifted while the tractor is in motion (clutch use required) controlled by a lever just adjacent to the seat. These tractors had fully hydrostatic steering and sweptback axles for a small turning radius. Since all the controls are mounted to the side it has a clear area where the gearshifts are on most tractors. It might be possible for you to make the transition from ground to seat in multiple steps. Both models have wide flat top fenders with very good handgrips. There is also a large mounting surface on the sides of the bell housing (clutch housing) that could easily accommodate a hydraulic lift that could elevate you and then swing you into the operating position. Other features include internal power disc brakes which require very little peddle travel and a rear cross mounted fuel tank which would provide an additional surface for you to brace against while getting positioned. These tractors in very good shape can be purchased between $4500 and $6000 in many areas.
