I put an AGM in the wife's Honda CRV about 3 years ago.
It had a history of short battery life, the original only lasted 2 years, so did the 1st replacement.
I blame it on the Texas heat.
I then went with an AGM, so far so good...
The AGM said it was designed to withstand "extreme temperatures", whatever that means.
I'm thinking about doing the same with my '13 Silverado. I replaced the battery in it 2 years ago with another lead acid, it's about time for another. Problem is I have to plan ahead, there are no local AGM dealers I can find, have to order online.
