I have a marine battery on my 255 MF and it has worked fine for 2 to 3 years. Now in the winter I do use a block heater for about 45 minutes to an hour before I crank and it cranks like its 70 degrees outside! By the way the battery was cheap and that's what the battery/alternator repair shop suggested! Its been OK so far, but it may quit today!
