There are tons of ways to “flip” an item, buybit cheap and then resell on eBay or amazon. My wife used to go into Barnes and noble and buy books that’s ere on sale like 50% or more off. Then she would list them on Amazon at a higher price usually only a few bucks and she would sell every book every time. She didn’t make tons of money but I can see how it would be easy to scale up the book selling and selling other items.
The shipment from overseas has only happened to me once on Amazon. Bought a Christmas present for one of my kids and after I purchased got a notice it was coming from overseas. Didn’t arrive in the timeline it was supposed to so I cancelled payment .
I think what this person was doing was that they may be in the US but have a contact overseas with the toy manufacturer. I pay the seller and then the seller places the order from the overseas manufacturer and uses by address to kind of “drop ship” the item.
