Long 460 oil filter

I have a 1985 Long 460 that is slow to build oil pressure when first cranked. I am wondering if it has the proper oil filter installed. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what oil filter it should have or where I might find out the proper filter to use. I have the owner's manual, but it doesn't specify this filter. The filter is mounted "upside down" and I think it should have a standpipe inside, but I can't find anyone who knows for sure. I would appreciate any help available.
