There is a (10-12ft)sectionof gravel road acouple miles south of me that frost heaves about 3 to 6 inches every winter. Then in the dry mid/late sommer it settles as much below the level of the road. Only in spring and fall is the road actually 'level'.Makes for some interesting driving.Hit it too fast,you 'catch air',or bottom out, depending on time of year.
