I ran and older Western many years back , you probably have dirt in the angle circuit or a broken relief spring . With any snow plow a little preseason maintenance is needed as they will never drop kick ya during the warmer months and no snow. Change the ATF clean the screens and clean the angle valve . Now being that it is on a DODGE was a factory install snow fighter PKG or was it and aftermarket install ?? some of the snow fighter PKG installs ran a engine drive pump after market installs used a electric over hyd lift. I would service mine each year before plow season . The worst snow plow i ever had was a Myers and they were always down you had to have two spare lift units to usually make it thru one storm and have a back up for the back up while you waited on parts that everyone else was waiting on .
