Oil filters have a relief valve that will bypass the filter use a cheap one you stand the chance of never filtering the oil :shock:
The relief valve is specked for different applications cheaper lines consolidate filter numbers so one filter will fit quite a few different applications... This makes stocking top of the line wix napa gold filters an expensive undertaking they don't do the cross over deal...
