For me moving snow with a blade or loader comes second only to picking stones. I started with a 7' blower on a 990 David Brown as a kid later worked with an 8'double auger on a 2-85 White. At one time I had a 6' on a 430 John Deere. With the 430 the first pass would be slow in 3'+ snow but when traction was compromised the slower travel speed would allow the power and load to equal out. We rarely have issue with wet snow but a chute that is polished stays clear better. I currently use 6.5' on a 1020 John Deere which matches pretty well
