I work for the Co-op here in town. On Tuesday morning gas was selling for 1.599. We had received a semi load of gas and 2 semi loads od diesel that morning. Our supplier informed us that the loads we recieved would be 15 cents a gallon higher than out previous shipments. Yes we raised prices, but only the same amount it was raised to us. We heard all the wild reports of 4 and 5 dollar gas, too. Because of all the accusations of price gouging, it was decided we would roll the price back to our original price. We then put an ad on the radio urging anyone that had purchased gas at the higher price to come in and get a refund. The supplier must've taken a lot of heat because they set their prices back also. Just thought you might want to hear from someone that was caught in the middle on this fuel fiasco.
