When i was about 15 yrs. old i worked for a big (for the day) farmer who had bought a new 560 row crop diesel. I remember day after day plowing with a 4 bottom plow, and pulling 2 sections of rotary hoe behind that. He had some clay hills, and i'd pull the T/A back to get over them, rideing the brake to stay in the furrow. Two things he insisted on, yank! the T/A (don't slip it) and keep the RPM wide open!! I'd show up at 6:am, fuel the tractor, and plow all day with out a break, getting back to his farm at 6:pm!!! He paid me $1.00 per hour, and i was glad to get it!! I worked 6 days a week. I worked for him for several years, and we never had one minute of down time for rear end or T/A work. I do remember the tranny needed work one time though. That was some tractor in those days, he sure was proud of it! Robert
