To me a narrow front just looks more like a real farm tractor. OK it's probably nostalgia, but it's what I like. Around here standard or wheatland style were rare untill the '70's. Row crop, narrow front was the tractor to have.
By the way, I live in the river hills of southeast PA so I do know about rollover potential. Don't let anybody tell you that a wide front won't flip over too - I've seen it. To me it makes more difference having a carefull operator than having a wide or narrow front end.
