Thanks for the help so far. I'm talking about a field cultivator or digger. I bought the 960 two years ago from a small dealer and have learned alot since. Part of the problem is that I grew up with JD's and have always been sold on them, the Ford was a cheap sub and I'm really questioning my choice. I don't have the time to work on it myself so it has to go in to the shop. Finding someone who even knows where to start on these tractors has been difficult where it is located & people seem to view this tractor as a collectible and I only wanted a reliable work tractor. I really think of the 960 as such a small tractor and so old that maybe I'm not using it to its full potential & that it needs a full tune up and some work. Dollars to dollars, the tractors will be about the same as I can get a great deal on the JD, but was just concerned that I'll have the same HP issues. Features are only slightly different between the two.
