I agree with fudd that it may be oil buildup in the vaporizer/regulator. However I have been told that no ensign parts are avalible so DO NOT take the vaporizer apart. The oil would be in the low pressure gas chamber, and can be drained from the fitting that supplies gas to the carb. If this fitting is on the botton of the vaporizer, you may only need to remove the hose from vaporizer to drain oil. If the fitting is on the side you will have to remove the vaporizer and rotate the outlet fitting down. Dont get any of this oil on yourself as it is saturated with ethl mercaptain which gives propane it's skunk like smell. It is very hard to get rid of and your wife may make you sleeping in the garage for a few days :)
