to haul a 7000 lp tractor a three axle trailer is one axle too many i believe. also the people i talked to before buying told me to stay away from the three axle jobs because when you turn they tear themselves apart and ruin the tires and suspension ect. i really like the idea of the changeable hitches that mount on a piece of channel on the front of the trailer. northern has them made by buyers. you mount the channel they sell on the front. it has holes in it so you can adjust for different height trucks. you have a variety of hitches to bolt to the channel available. included are 2 and 2 and 5/16 ball hitches along with pintel ring and a clevis like on the front of a hay wagon. with the ball mount you could use a weight distribuiting hitch. i like the truck to be equiped with a 2 inch square reciever. make it the heaviest rated you can find for your truck. also before i went to a three axle trailer i would go for a trailer with dual wheels if you feel you need the extra weight capacity. deck over or between the fenders is totaly a matter of your preference considering what it will be used for. the trailers that tilt are nice in that you dont have ramps to deal with. mine dont fold flat onto the deck. i would like them to but then they would be in the way when hauling something like a full sized pick up. the ranps are almost in the way now with a full sized pick up and might tap the paint when the ramps bounce going down the road. btw my trailer is a hudson deckover 16 ft flat deck with 3 ft bevertail and 5 ft ramps. it is a 1996 and cost 2200 2 years ago.

They were horrified (we lived by the railroad), my mother thought the worst: "He’s been run over by a train, he’s gone forever!" Where did they find me? Perched up on the seat of the tractor. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
