I'm sorry to hear your having a roof cave in like that. We must not have the right winds or direction for our sheds. We don't seem to get all that much snow on our roofs and don't ever clean one off. They just melt off in a week or so if it warms up enough. This is in MI. I do think ours being made from rough sawn lumber and being Oak,Ash,Elm have all made a difference on that. We bolt our plates to the poles with a scab piece across the joint too.
