I repaired MANY Duetz tractors in my shop years ago after the local dealership closed. The older ones are almost bomb proof other than weak in the foot brake department. I have seen MANY with 10,000 hours and still not using oil and with great oil pressure. The ZF drivelines are second to nobody world wide. They never did have a good cab back then, but other than Deere who did? Once they built the DX series it was like a death sentence. Deutz thought they could build their own drivelines and stop using ZF. They sold more DXs than any series before. The DX160 was its highest seller. Its tranny was also the worst.
