I am answering this without benefit of direct experience with either tractor, however I am almost always willing to render a two-bit opinion: It seems that the Fergusons sell for a lot less than the Ns, but there are a lot more aftermarket parts available for the Ns. So it seems that the Ns are desired because of the fact that they made so many. For something in a collection, that usually makes them less valuable, but for utilitarian technology it is usaully desirable to have more of something (take Beta vs. VCR) to maintain value. Both tractors seem to be able to do the job about equally, so the desirablility depends on what you have to do to keep your tractor running, and whether you intend to sell it any time soon. There are probably more places with parts and willing to do service on the Ns than the Fergusons. If you can do the work yourself, and don't need major parts, you would probably be better off with the Ferguson IMHO.
