While I agree with 303 not being marked as “for use in”, I think it is pointless to ban it, discredit it or otherwise. List the properties and let the consumer decide if it is right for them.
You can still go to the generic farm store and buy “meets Hytran” spec fluid. If you are dumb enough to put it in your CVT equipped tractor, the new transmission should be on you.
I think they under estimate the population of older equipment that is out there. I have quite a few units that the sole requirement for hydraulic oil is something slippery, aka not water!
