We had a Ferguson 30 when we were on the farm back in the 50,s and 60,s. What a great little tractor. It would pull about anything in third gear you could hook onto it, if you could get traction. But......the old hydraulics got kind of poorly..wasn,t too swell to start with, so dad traded for a Ford Jubilee, I think, with a flathead in it. New paint, really pretty. Thats about all it had!! What a disappointment that was!
Wouldn't pull near what the ferguson would. Besides that, the transmision on the fergie would shift on the go about as good as a car. Pretty nice for a hot rod kid!! The ford did have better hydraulics, though. My votes for the Fergie.
