The manifold must heat the kerosene to a point where it will be vaporized. The manifold must use the exhaust to heat the intake side so you will have to start it on gasoline or petrol, and then switch the fuel over to run on kerosene when it is completly warmed up. I recently did a fuel comparison test on a dyno with gasoline and kerosene with my farmall F-12 which has dual fuel capability. There was no difference in horsepower but I did have to lean out the carb some to run kerosene so it will use slightly less fuel per hour with kero.
