Is that B1-3 a Frazer or predecessor? I had a B1-7 engine lock up on me also. The muffler had rusted off and rain got in to the cylinder, crankcase, etc. It was the worst engine tear-down I have ever been involved in. I was able to remove the cylinder from the c-c and take the c-c apart and then press out the piston from above wityh a hydraulic press. I had grown men (experienced machinists) running from the shop in terror from the sound the piston made as it was wrenched forcibly from its bore. A new piston and a rebore and I was back in business. I was unable to get a new conn-rod but was able to replace the old style full complement bearings with modern caged bearings.
