Glad you were successful.
I pulled numerous when my herd was young. Few show stoppers: One, the calf popped out once mom and I got in sync and as I fell back it came right out on top of me. On another, the heifer, decided to calve on the bank of my pond with delivery lined up down the bank about 3' from the water.....got that just in time. On yet another, in the dead of winter, a cow does dump the calf into the pond and I just happened to catch it in time, get over there and between a slick calf and muddy shore and near freezing temp, managed to get it up on dry land and dried off.
