The 806 engine/block is about as bullet proof as it gets.And probably the longest lifed engine IH ever built. The issue you are hearing about is where guys put turbos on em and crank up the fuel. They try to make a 1206 out of an 806.yep,they will crank out the ponies,but they cant take the extra heat. There is where th cooling jets come in. A 1206 has two,806 only one. A naturally asperated engine wot have that problem.The 361(806) and 407(856)are essentially the 'same' engine.
