I've experienced trying to start and run combines after early snows have delayed harvest. They are notorous hard starters when cold and just plain miserable to run in winter. I'd take an open cab tractor any day. Heck why not put a cab on your tractor? even a tarp around the engine and seat helps a lot. I've seen crawlers that used to have a reversible fan for blowing engine heat over the operator. Does anyone know if it can be done on older tractors?
