Most combines are balanced with the weight of the head. They are tall and top heavy. I saw IH 1460 that rolled off the road years ago... Seems to me that if you ran into something with the snow plow. 2 things could happen. 1. the combine stands up on its nose with you under it or the plow could come up and meet you in the cab of the combine... both do not sound like fun. I would think that tractor with cab or heat houser would be easier, cheaper, and safer that a combine that could flip over. Be hard to start and take up 3 times the shed space of a tractor that had more pulling power... Have you ever got a combine stuck? they can be mess get out. Over the long term you will tear up the combine tranny because they were not build to pull or push like a tractor... just my 2 cents worth...
