I see you're contemplating an N tractor. I've got one, and regret it nearly every time I use it. For a touch more money, I could have purchased a 600 series tractor with live hydraulics and pto, which makes it a far more usefull tractor then the N is. Lack of live pto means that mowing is difficult because every time I push in the clutch, the mower stops. Makes inching up on things effectively impossible. Hay bailing is out as well because I cannot regulate the tractors groundspeed without stopping the bailer. Lack of live hydraulics is far more difficult. Every time I push in the clutch, my hydraulics turn off. Makes transporting things like a mower a real pain. Not to mention the difficulties of raising the impliment at the end of a pass. Push in the clutch to stop the tractor moving, go to neutral and release the clutch. Move the impliment to the height I want. Push in the clutch, select a gear and release. Repeat every single blasted time! My short answer, don't buy an N! If you really want one, buy mine so I can go buy something else. :-)

I’m par
