The building process is done on the 50's vintage Case S-139 disc harrow. Lots of little pieces to fashion and solder and bolt together with tiny little 0-90 screws and some bigger 2-56 and 4-40 screws and nuts. It is all together. The wheels raise and lower and are attached with linkage to the self leveling hitch. When the disc is in transport it still sets level from front to rear like the real one. Now I have to dissemble the disc gangs from the main frame so they can be painted. The gang frames are dark green, and the main frame is Flambeau red. We will also be painting the disc blades and spools and scrapers with black and green. See the picture of a real 8' one. This replica is the biggest 13'9' version, so it has more frame work. Stay tuned for the finished project, and some details of the build from begining to end.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
