Didn't get a lot done this weekend because I had a birthday party to go to, my youngest grandson Ted turned one. He is our youngest's son.
Had to work on my 1030 a bit, so I had to get all of the tractors out of the shed, so I lined them up for a pic. 1030, 830, 400, DC.
The 1030 needed a water pump, batteries, electric fuel pump, and some other odds and ends. Got all that done. Then worked on the 830 some, it has issues with the com, it doesn't release correctly and grinds the gears. It had the wrong oil and the valve wasn't working right, so I drained it and put all new o-rings and seals in the valve and pump and flushed it out hoping that would fix it. Those things helped a lot and it pulls and shifts up and down good now, but still doesn't release all the way, so looks like I'll have to split it and do a rebuild in the torque converter. That is not a very common issue with those, this is the first I've seen. Likely someone ran it low on oil at some time as that is the only thing I know that will cause that. But that will have to wait till later as there is no money for any more projects right now.
So now all the tractors are ready for work except for changing the oils, but I bought all the filters on Napa's spring sale and they aren't in yet. They say next week. So now I'll have to focus on the corn planter, that is a big job and a lot left to do on it. But I think I've rounded up all the parts now and can start putting it together. Hopefully it stays warm so I can work on it. Would sure be nice if the snow would finish melting so my yard would dry up too, I'm getting tired of sloshing through the mud everywhere.

Today's Featured Article - Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
