The most common issues when a new clutch drags and prevents shifting are: Friction disk put in backwards (usually will not ever allow shifting at all) Friction disk warped from being put in a bind when closing the gap on assembly Friction disk not free on the clutch shaft from burrs or wear patterns on the shaft Pilot bearing in the flywheel is dry or too tight (or if a ball/needle bearing) failing
Do not grind it into gear. If it will not go into gear if the clutch pedal is pushed down all the way, and held for a minute, it will need to be split to fix it. Jim
