Note is says be wise before being gentle.
In other words, trust is earned first.

Forgiveness is one of the hardest commands, not a suggestion, a command.
The offer of help is made. If he bites the hand that feeds him, it's on him, you tried. Keep in mind, this may be a sick person, he may not respond as we would hope, but then he might. Best to walk away with a clean spirit than to have possibly turned away an angel!
