My 8N when I picked herwas about the same - swear in some spots grease was built up 1/2 inch or more - stopped a few blocks from home when I picked it up and spent about 5 bucks at the car wash - did a quick soap up and then engine cleaner all over the tractor - let it set for a few minutes and then did the power wash on it - 95 percent of the grease and oil came off and had a clean tractor with no mess to clean up - went over the highway to come home so I could "blow" dry the tractor - waited till the next day to start her - no problem and had a clean tractor to start doing close up inspection on - added benefit of blowing out the radiator with the power wash also. ...........
