"IF" it was my tractor, i'd change the oil every fall when i was done useing it, OR 100 hours, what ever came first. I'd use Shell Rotella or Chevron Delo 15w-40 oil, and a Massey filter. Paying a little more for a Massey filter "once" a year will keep your dealer happy if you ever need warr. work on the engine. Of my 11 tractors, i'd NEVER let one stand over the winter with used oil in it!!! Used oil has acids in it that you don't want sitting in there. BTW, Fram filters aren't what they use to be, and i won't buy them any more. There anti drain back valve doesn't always seal right, and they have less filtering in them these days! A NAPA (WIX) is a much better filter! Robert
