Finally got my planter done! Had to fix one fertilizer opener because the casting was broken. I just cut off all the broken cast and welded on a piece of paper and.
Then I had to figure out the gearing. That took some serious thought since I didn't have all the proper gears that came with the planter and I changed the drive gears to get the planting rate I wanted. I think I've got it close now as long as these augers feed at the same rate the case ones did.
Then all that was left was the markers. This discs we're like the rear wheels, cast hubs on steel pins and they were worn out. So this time I just decided to change them out with some new old stock blades I found and the salvage yard.
Once that was done I took it outside for some pics
Even hooked it to the 400 which I'll use to plant with, if the snow ever melts.
Guess I'll have to find another project now. Lol. I do have a few things left to get ready yet, so I'll be busy.
