When I took off the tank of my '52 VAC, I found a stick (understandable) and a whetstone. It's still there. I couldn't get it out. My theory was that the farmer had one with him to touch up the cutter bar, went to measure the gas one time and dropped it and just left it there. It's about 8 or 10 inches long.
As for your pennies, who knows?
